Zinglink helps you keep small daily commitments, alone or with a buddy. This page explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and how to delete it. Contact: banjezamai@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, the name you choose, and your timezone (so your days are counted locally).
- Habits and check-ins: habit names, targets and schedules; each check-in's date, amount, optional effort rating and optional note; your streak history.
- Evidence (optional): photos or screenshots you attach. They are compressed and stripped of location data on your device before upload.
- Circles: the circles you create or join, invitations, reactions and nudges, and any reports you make or blocks you set.
- Notifications: your push subscription and a record of which reminders were sent and whether a check-in followed.
- AI coach: your messages to the coach and its replies, plus usage counts for cost control.
- Diagnostics: error reports (an error message, the page path without query strings, and a stack trace). No form contents or notes.
- Analytics (if enabled): product events such as "check-in completed", tied to a random account ID, never your email, habit names, notes or evidence.
Who sees what
- Evidence is private by default. For each check-in you choose: only you, your buddy, or your circle. Others can view it only through links that expire after 60 seconds.
- Circle members see that you completed a shared habit, your streak, and reactions. They never see evidence you kept private, or your notes.
- Shareable cards show your streak count and habit name only, never evidence.
Processors
- Supabase stores the database and evidence files.
- Vercel hosts the app.
- Anthropic powers the AI coach. We send it the minimum needed for each task: habit names, targets and recent statuses; your coach messages and check-in notes; and evidence images only when a habit requires evidence or you shared the evidence with someone. Anthropic processes this to provide the service.
- Resend sends sign-in links and, if push fails, reminder emails.
- PostHog provides analytics, if enabled.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Reports and blocks
You can report a circle member's check-in or photo, and block a member. A report stores the reason you chose, any details you add, and which check-in, photo, circle and people it concerns; our moderators get an email with those IDs (never the photo itself). We keep reports for moderation, with your name removed if either account is deleted. A block is stored so neither of you can join a circle the other is in.
How long we keep it, and deleting your account
Your data stays until you delete it. Notification and rate-limit records are pruned automatically.
Settings → Delete account deletes your account straight away. It permanently removes your email address and profile, habits, check-ins, notes, evidence files, streak history, circle memberships, reactions, nudges, push subscriptions, notification history, coach messages and AI usage records. Circles you own pass to another member. If you can't sign in, email us and we'll delete it within 30 days. Full details are on the delete your account page.
Afterwards we keep only reports about circle content (without your name), error reports (without your account ID), and copies in encrypted backups until they expire after 7 days.
Your choices and rights
- Turn off any notification type, set quiet hours, and opt out of social comparison in Settings.
- Delete your account and data at any time from Settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR), you may also have rights to access, correct or export your data, or object to processing. Contact us at the address above.
Children
Zinglink is not for children under 16.

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
